He did a swab check and said it wasn't amniotic fluid. Turned out got home at about ntractions started at 830am lol.indured what I could at home.had baby at 1045am the next day!ĭidn't go into the whole labour and delivery as have gone on WAY TOO MUCH already! lolĪnd breathe.cutting it short.Hi! I leaked with my first pregnancy! it first happened the night before my due date then again the morning of so my dr said to come into the hospital.
Turned out it WAS my waters! Everywere.had to sit on toilet while on phone to maternity unit they kept coming.tmi again lolĪnyways.I was told to come in to be checked.I was sent home as wasn't dialated at all and no contractions.BUT told if I havn't gone into labour in 24hrs they would induce me due to risk infection. When I had my son.I had backache when going to bed (abut 12.30am) then I woke at around 5am.laid there thinking "I don't need the loo" it was so weird the feeling, just before ALL my waters went.I then felt very damp (sorry tmi) I them shoulted for my partner (he was sleeping in spare room at the time as I was up and down most the night the last week or so) and he came in and I them said "switch on the light.I think my waters have gone"! I then had this thought in my head.nah I was just proberly dreaming or wet myself! Yes it does sound like your "fore waters" have gone! Good luck with everything and hope it all goes ok!!!
The mild cramping, the back and tummy ache could all be signs of early labour - the fluid you have leaked could have been a discharge or even a very small amount of urine - I only say this as when I was pregnant with ds1 I called the hospital as i'd had a leak of fluid at 32wks, they told me that this was most likely urine as its very common in late pregnancy to lose a little and not be aware of the need to go to the toilet - they told me to put a pad on and if it was wet/damp to call them back, I did this and was still constantly leaking clear fluid and the pad was wet within 20mins so called back and it turned out that one set of my waters had gone at that point (you have fore waters and hind waters) but the whole lot went before I got to the hospital - even when I arrived at the hospital they tried to tell me it was most likely a loss of continence until of course they examined me and then found out it was my waters but the main characteristics of your waters breaking are a feeling of 'popping' or like a rubber band pinging inside (i now know when my waters broke exactly but at the time being my first I had no idea what that was!), constantly leaking fluid and the amniotic fluid is usually clear and has a sweet smellīut I would say if you are at all concerned then give your midwife a ring - its always better to be safe than sorry and also to put your mind at rest - also if your waters have gone they will need to be aware of it as there is risk of infection if you don't go into labour within a certain time etc, as I was only 32wks when mine went with ds2 I had to be admitted to hospital, given steroids and lasted 10days till he was born but a result of this I had to have antibiotics through an iv during labour to prevent infection to me or him!
